Brad Cmejla was able to pick up MC Motorsports’ first win of 2026 and his first career win in 63 career starts during the R2R SimStock Motorsport Club’s Race 2 at Talladega with the Dallara DW12 on February 17th, 2026.
The race worked out great for Brad Cmejla. Damage was off, and it was just a matter of surviving. Brad ran a great race, only getting caught up in 1 crash in the race. His #4 MC Motorsports Dallara was on the track with his team mates; the #8 of Marty Cmejla (his son), as well as the #84 of Cole Trudeau. Logan Boldt was scheduled to drive the #48 but something went wrong with getting the scheme ready.
Brad Cmejla is currently 51 years old and made his first virtual start for MC Motorsports back in November of 2022 in NR Night in America. He has since raced over 50 times in both NR Night and mainly in Rebel Valley Sim Club. Brad's best finish in Rebel Valley Sim Club is 3rd. Brad then would do R2R races as that’s pretty much all that was left in terms of active series.
Brad would make it to a 4 lap shootout. The pack into turn 3 after the restart would be only about 10 cars. Cole Trudeau would get turned but the race stayed green. Eventually, with 3 to go, the pack consisted of 4 cars: Marty Cmejla, Brad Cmejla, Austin Hobert, and Caiden Gullo.
At this point it’s a 50% chance an MCM car wins. Brad laid back in this pack and on the last lap, Marty Cmejla would battle the others from the lead. Brad would slot himself behind his son exiting turn 4. Then, Marty and Hobert made contact door banging entering the tri oval. Eventually, their wheels touched, and they both spun into the wall.
Brad snuck by on the inside and Caiden Gullo tried to get to him but it wasn’t enough. In his 63rd registered MCM hosted session race, Brad was finally a winner. The win marked the first win of 2026 for MC Motorsports and the first team win since September when Cameron Face won at Kansas in the Rebel Valley Sim Club. It’s the team's 2nd R2R SimStock win, and the team's 92nd all-time win.
Brad was very excited after the race and is looking forward to a successful rest of the month in SimStock competition. “It’s a confidence and momentum booster for sure,” Cmejla said,"a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
“Despite myself getting turned, I am very happy for my Dad. It’s one of the most anticipated wins for our team ever,” Marty Cmejla said. The win was very popular amongst the community. Brad after the race did one of the best burnouts we’ve ever seen, and would end the night there as he skipped out on Race 3. It was a great race! Marty Cmejla would end up 8th and Cole Trudeau finished 10th at Talladega.
